Bonsai Tree Care Tips
There are probably several hundred bonsai tree care tips and instructions that one could use to his or her
advantage, all of which could be used to make sure that one’s bonsai tree stays as healthy, and lives as long, as
possible. However, if you are one of those people that are interested in learning more about some of these kinds of
bonsai care tips, then there are actually a couple of guidelines that are absolutely vital. So essential in fact,
that you should learn about them first. So, we will cover them below.
Watering
One of the major mistakes that most people make when it comes to a bonsai tree is that they either 1) do not
water the tree enough or, 2) they become too worried and too anxious about watering their tree and actually end up
watering it too much! So, if you are serious about learning the ins and outs of proper bonsai tree care, then be
fully aware that watering is going to be one of the more important aspects to healthy bonsai care.
You will need to be sure that you take the time to feel the soil of your tree on a fairly regular basis so that
you will be able to tell if the soil feels dry. When it does, and especially if it feels completely dry, then you
will obviously need to give it some water. Most bonsai tree owners believe that they are doing their trees a favor
by following a set schedule for watering, but that is actually not going to tell you when you really need to be
watering the plant.
When it comes to good bonsai care, determining when to water your plant will depend upon the temperature, the
season and most importantly, the humidity in your home (as well as some other factors).
Sunlight
A lot of individuals can forget that just like any regular tree, your bonsai tree is also going to require a
decent amount of sunlight in order to grow strong and be healthy. Thus, you will need to place your bonsai in a
nice location in your house that will receive enough light. Placing your tree next to a window will probably be
your best bet, but if you end up noticing that the foliage on your bonsai is beginning to turn brown, then it
probably means that the tree is not receiving enough light. In that case, you should think about getting a grow
light in order to help things along and improve the environmental conditions for the best bonsai tree care.
Nurturing a bonsai tree is a wonderful experience not only because it is such an enjoyable hobby, but because it
provides such a visually appealing decoration for your home.
